New Folk

The New Folk contest is a favorite of ours, especially now that it is held in the covered Threadgill Theater. 600 submissions are accepted, 32 are selected to perform teir 2 songs (Finalists), 6 Award Winners are called back to give 20 minute sets, and some are selected to appear the following year on Main Stage.

We agreed with the judges on 3 of the 6 selected. Jonathan Byrd was everyone's top choice. I thought that Kerry Powers deserved to win.
