Falcon Ridge Folk Festival 2003
Falcon Ridge drew its biggest crowds in its 15 year history and
expanded to 4 days for the fist time. It had an amazingly strong Rising
Performers Showcase that included several Kerrville New Folk Finalists. And it
had a very strong lineup of singer-songwriters, the best of any other folk
festival of the year.
But it was dangerously hot, lacking any shade or places to cool
off. Moreover, the site was taxed to the limit with long food lines, long
sightlines to the stages, and overlapping sound from the various stages.
